金铜佛像作为宗教崇拜的对象，有以下三个特点：

一是它的宗教性。佛像体现佛教的庄严、神圣、慈悲的精神。所以在造型的制作上，它必须严格遵循佛教的教义规范，也就是造像仪规。这就决定了佛教造像中佛、菩萨、罗 汉、明王、护法、祖师等等造像的造型。

One is its religious nature. The Buddha embodies the solemn, sacred and merciful spirit of buddhism. So in other productions, it must follow the teachings of Buddhism's statues of norms, ritual. This determines the Buddhist statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva, arhat, Ming, law, and so on the other founder statues.

二是它的社会性。造像要有人崇拜，就必须与现实社会息息相关，在不同的时代，为了让人们理解和接受佛教精神，就要迎合不同时代的审美情趣。这就使各个时代的佛教造像，体现出各自鲜明的时代特征。

Two is its sociality. To worship a statue, it must be closely related to the reality of society. In different times, in order to let people understand and accept the spirit of Buddhism, we must cater to different times of aesthetic appeal. This makes the Buddhist statues of each age reflect their distinctive characteristics of the times.

三是它的艺术性。无论是宗教性也好，社会性也好，要体现出来，都必须经过 艺术手段的加工。所以，对于金铜造像必须从造型、时代和工艺三方面来欣赏和鉴定。

The three is its artistry. Whether it is religious or social, it must be done by means of art. Therefore, the statue of gold and bronze must be appreciated and identified from three aspects: modeling, times and techniques.
