Copper carving originated in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. It is a kind of sculpture made of copper by means of carving and casting. Most of its shapes are majestic, rough, dignified and steady, showing a solid, rich and brilliant texture. The main decorative patterns of bronze sculpture are Taotie pattern, or animal head shape, and then bird, animal, insect and fish parts form abstract patterns to set off the bronze sculpture. The record of the earliest metal casting by human beings is unclear, but the casting technology has been developing and improving. A small miracle happened between 4000 and 3000 BC. There is no evidence to show the exact time and place of the miracle and how it happened. However, some people have found or accidentally fused some slightly different flashing metal or tin into the flashing copper, and the mixture becomes harder. With this discovery, the Bronze Age began. Bronze carving techniques are all over the country. The most important bronze carving works in Chinese history include "Boju" in the Western Zhou Dynasty, "simu Wuding" in the late Shang Dynasty, and "Horse Treading flying swallow" in the Han Dynasty. Today, there are many excellent works of art emerging one after another.
